THE POWER OF A SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE IS UNLIMITED.
We are one humanity, one heart, on one home; planet earth… Saturday was the beginning. Twenty people of great heart making a huge difference.
This was a day of building trust, honesty, true humanity, love, family and community with our Aboriginal Elders bringing huge healing and wisdom into the process. Together with those of us in the healing arts, social advocacy, Indigenous rights, education, ethical business, community building, youth empowerment and sustainability, we are a very powerful voice. There were a number of people who couldn’t make it on Saturday, they will be involved in future meetings, only adding to our voice. We are creating a collective, a group of people working from the heart, a network of passionate, committed individuals.
A standout focus from our Aboriginal Elders was the power of the land, showing us how critical the connection to Mother Earth is in the process of building happy, healthy families and communities. And we realised that in order for us to build communities and heal ourselves as white fellas, we must walk together with our First Peoples in their move to attain independence and true recognition. In so doing we will heal the relationship between all cultures and create a togetherness that will go very deep.
So this is bigger picture of what we see unfolding. Creating independent, resilient, healthy communities for all peoples, in harmony with nature. Combine that with the local on the ground projects lead by all of us in our different ways, creates a powerful vision of grass roots action. We have to support both levels, so a key focus is now to drive funds into each of our projects. The injustices and inequities in our country can be addressed as those few with increasing wealth are made aware of their obligation to give back.
It’s building and it’s exciting! This energy building from Saturday.
